BREMERTON, WA — The Northwest Premier League announces that Whitney Lowe of Twin City Union FC is the fourth NWPL Player of the Week for our inaugural 2016 season.
Going into Sunday’s match at Tiget Stadium in Centralia against Seattle Stars FC the Union of Twin City had scored just one goal. The first half on Sunday night saw all of that change as the Union scored four times to take a big lead over the Stars.
Whitney Lowe (Blackhills High School / PacNW Soccer Club / Central Washington Wildcats) led the charge for the home side, scoring twice and assisting on the other two Union goals. Her performance earns her NWPL Player of the Week honors for May 22.
“Whitney was very clean with her finishing and her final passes to set up other team mates were pinpoint. Good overall game,” says her head coach Sophie Clough.
“Whitney is a quick, creative player who gets herself in the right places at the right times,” Clough states. “Her creativity and ability to link up with team mates has brought another dimension to our team. I think it will start to show more as the season goes on and our players gel more and know each other’s game better.”
