BREMERTON, WA— The Seattle Stars were oh-so-close to getting their first win in the Northwest Premier League. They held a tight 1-0 lead going into added time. The Olympic Force had other ideas.
The Force got a point-saving goal in the final seconds to keep the Stars out of the win column.
Rachel Prince scored the dramatic late, late goal for the Force off on an assist from Daisy Vazquez.
The Stars took a 1-0 lead just before halftime when Caitlin Garcia scored an unassisted goal in the 44th minute.
The Force outshot the Stars 12-7 but both goalkeepers were up to the task. Dee Dee Walls notched 8 saves for Olympic while Gina Cardenas blocked 7 for the Stars.
The draw was already the third of the season for Seattle (0-2-3) in five matches. The Force now have two ties as their record updates to 1-2-2.
