The Northwest Premier League has adjusted its format in light of two new clubs coming into the circuit in 2017 as well as in response to a lack of parity in the 2016 table which was dominated by the Spokane Shadow and South Sound Shock.

The new clubs are North Central Washington Alliance (Wenatchee) and Washington Timbers (Vancouver, WA.)
