“CFC is joining the NWPL to give local women, collegiate athletes, as well as youth players within the club the opportunity to play competitive soccer in a professional environment,” says General Manager Whitney Pitalo. In regards to leaving the WPSL for the NWPL, she says, “The CFC Women’s team is joining the NWPL because we believe the league is a better fit for our team competitively, financially, and locally.”

The addition of an Oregon club into the NWPL opens avenues for the league to network with other Oregon soccer institutions and associations. Those relationships will be sought out and fostered in the future.
