NWPL Sunday: Capital, Yakima secure one-goal victories

The Northwest Premier League featured two excellent matches on Sunday May 20 that both ended in 3-2 final scores.

NCW Alliance 2-3 Yakima United

WENATCHEE, WA—The Apple Bowl hosted the latest rivalry match between North Central Washington Alliance (0-2-0) and Yakima United (2-1-1.) The visiting Hoppers rallied for a big win.

NCW led 2-1 at halftime thanks to goals in the 13th minute from Allison Flynn and 35th from Allison Rader. The Hoppers stayed close with a 15th minute goal from Lauryn Peters.

In the second half Yakima rallied to win the match on a brace from Natalie Nagle. Her goal in the 46th minute tied the match 2-2. The over half an hour later she got the winner in the 81st.

Capital FC 3-2 Olympic Force

SALEM, OR— In the first-ever NWPL match played in Oregon Capital FC raised their record to a perfect 3-0-0 by hanging on to edge the Olympic Force 3-2 at the Capital FC Complex.

CFC had leads of 2-0 and 3-1 before the Force (0-2-1) pulled to within one in the late going.

Olympic Force goals: Jolene Kvinsland, Sydney Zeitler.
