NWPL Scoreboard: Five matches, 25 goals

The Northwest Premier League featured five matches over the June 23-24 weekend. Offenses were in high gear as the contests produced 25 goals.


Washington Timbers 3-0 Olympic Force

VANCOUVER, WA— The Washington Timbers (5-1-0) used 3 first half goals to run away from the Olympic Force (2-3-1) on Sunday at Harmony Sports Complex.

Timbers goals: Makayla Roggow 13′, Bailey Gale 26′, Mariah Roggow 29′.

Shut out: Combined Coombs / Diller


Laadi Issaka scored 4 goals in a match for the second week in a row.

Capital FC 4-3 Twin City Union

SALEM, OR—In a back and forth match that produced 7 goals Capital FC (5-2-0) got another 4-goal peformance from Laadi Issaka to edge Twin City Union (1-5-1) at McCulloch Stadium.

Capital FC goals: Laadi Issaka 7′, 33′ 58′ 79′.

Twin City Union goals: Desiree Arocha 9′, Lauren Frost 27′, LeAnn Phanakone 90′

NCW Alliance 3-5 Washington Premier FC

WENATCHEE, WA— The homestanding Alliance (0-7-0) had a 2-0 halftime lead but then WPFC (4-2-1) erupted for 5 goals in the second half to rally for the win. Kayley Cruz scored a hat trick for WPFC while Angela Celedon netted a brace.

NCW Alliance goals: Itzel Castro 23′, Kate Springer 41′, Carissa Miler 82;.

WPFC goals: Kayley Cruz 52′, 54′ 76′, Angela Celedon 62′ 87′


Blackhills FC 4-0 Yakima United

OLYMPIA, WA—Blackhills (2-3-1) shut out Yakima (2-4-0) at home on Saturday night. Four different players scored as BFC got their first ever home win in the NWPL.

Blackhills FC goals: Sasha Dini 9′, Leah Magee 38′, Jenna Killman 72′, Maddie Lockwood 90′.

Shut out: Combined Becker / Riggs


Twin City Union 1-2 Seattle Stars

CENTRALIA, WA— The Seattle Stars (6-0-0) stayed unbeaten by the narrowest of margins with a 2-1 win at the Twin City Union (1-5-1) on Saturday night.

Seattle Stars goals: Malia Allison 12′, Katie Quinn 38′
