#OurTime: Laadi Issaka, Emily Sorenson voted NWPL Players of the Week for June 24, 2018

BREMERTON, WA—The Northwest Premier League today announces that the head coaches and general managers of the nine member clubs have voted on the  #OurTime NWPL Players of the Week for June 24, 2018. The honorees are Laadi Issaka  of Capital FC (Offense) and Emily Sorenson of Twin City Union (Defense.)

How did Laadi Issaka follow up her four goal weekend that won her POTW honors for June 17? By scoring all 4 goals for her club as they took a 4-3 win last weekend. For Issaka it is her third POTW honor this season. She now has 12 goals to lead the league. Issaka edged out WPFC’s Kayley Cruz by one vote. Cruz scored 3 second half goals as her club rallied for a 5-3 win.

Emily Sorenson stood on her head on Saturday, making save after save that kept her Twin City Union club close to the unbeaten Seattle Stars. In the end the Union lost 2-1 but both coaches singled out Sorenson’s performance. She also won POTW just 3 weeks ago.
