NWPL Scoreboard: Seven matches bring regular season to a close

The Northwest Premier League (NWPL) 2018 regular season wrapped up over the Juyl 1 weekend as seven matches settled the standings and playoff positions.


The FINAL regular season table (above) sees Seattle Stars clinching a semifinals position at home. The Washington Timbers will also play at home in the semis. The Quarterfinals begin THIS WEEKEND with Yakima United at Capital FC (TBA) and Blackhills FC at Washington Premier on Sunday July 8 at 2:30 PM at WPFC Complex.


Seattle Stars 4-0 NCW Alliance

TUKWILA, WA— The Seattle Stars (8-0-0) scored all of their goals in the second half to beat NCW Alliance (0-8-0) at Starfire Stadium on Saturday June 30.

Seattle Stars Goals: Morgan Treser 51′, Kiley Suter 60′, Sunshine Soriano 87′, Hannah Jenkins (PK) 90′.

Twin City Union 0-2 Washington Timbers

CENTRALIA, WA—The Washington Timbers (6-1-1) scored twice early in the match and made it stick with a win at Tiger Stadium over the Twin City Union (1-6-1) on June 30th.

Washington Timbers Goals: Sarah Teubner 10′, Mariah Roggow 14′.

Yakima United 2-1 Washington Premier

YAKIMA, WA— The Hoppers of Yakima United (3-4-1) upended the visitors from Washington Premier (4-3-1) on Saturday June 30 at SOZO. Lauryn Peters’ brace led the home side.

Blackhills FC 2-1 Olympic Force

OLYMPIA, WA— Blackhills FC (3-3-2) got the win at home over the Olympic Force (2-4-2) on Saturday night June 30 at Ingersoll Stadium. A flurry of late goals decided the match.

Blackhills FC Goals: Ruby Roedell 80′, Gloria Petri 89′.

Capital FC 0-3 Seattle Stars

SALEM, OR— The Seattle Stars completed a perfect 8-0-0 regular season with a shut out win over Capital FC (5-3-0) on Sunday in Oregon. Video highlights here.

Olympic Force 3-3 Yakima United

PURDY, WA—Yakima United (3-4-1) rallied with 2 late goals to get a draw at the Force (2-4-2) at Roy Anderson Field at Peninsula High School.

Washington Timbers 3-3 Blackhills FC

VANCOUVER, WA— The Washington Timbers (6-1-1) played to s 3-3 draw with Blackhills FC (3-3-2) on Sunday at Harmony Sports Complex.
