Week 4 Recap: Victory Victorious in Olympia

Vancouver Victory 7, Blackhills 1

The Vancouver Victory took over first place in the Northwest Premier League with a resounding 7-1 victory over Blackhills FC on the grass at the Capital Soccer Fields in Olympia. Maddie Goss and Paige German scored twice in the victory. Goss added four assists for the Victory.

Vancouver started the scoring with a Rachel Anderson goal in the 12th minute and poured it on with five more goals in the first half including both of German and Goss’ goals and a 42nd minute strike by Sophia Connell and they took a 6-0 lead at the half.

Blackhills scored their loan goal on the hour mark thanks to Mel Alvarado, but Brin Wolvert wrapped things up in the 69th to make it 7-1 and the Victory improved to 3-1-0 during this abbreviated NWPL season.
