Week 5 NWPLi Players Of The Week: Chalise Baysa & Mariah Roggow

Offense:

Chalise Baysa (Snohomish County): In her new role up front with Snohomish County, Chalise Baysa scored a crucial brace in a match where goals were at a premium. The all-time leading goal scorer at the University of Oregon proved her touch translates indoors as she netted first and second half goals for the Fish in their 4-1 win over the Whatcom Waves. The win moved the Steelheads into second place at the halfway mark with seven points.

Defense:

Mariah Roggow (Snohomish County): Snohomish County’s Mariah Roggow was pivotal in shutting down the middle of the Whatcom attack, holding the Waves to a single goal along with her defensive crew. The Western Washington University alum turned the tables early in the fourth quarter, driving forward and delivering a ball into the penalty area that was converted for a third Steelheads goal by Chalise Baysa in their 4-1 win.
