Offense:

Kailey Utley (Oly Town Artesians): Kailey Utley continues to carve up the NWPLi in her first year with the Artesians. On Saturday night, the West Virginia alum scored five times and tallied two assists in the Artesians’ 8-7 win over the Oly-Pen Force. Utley now has two four goal games this season and this five goal game and leads the league with 16 goals through five games and currently has Oly Town in second place. This is Utley’s second offensive Player Of The Week award.

Defense:

Marisol Vargas (Oly Town Artesians): Marisol Vargas relieved the injured Vanessa Crisp in goal late in the second quarter after Crisp was injured down 4-3. She held the Force to just three goals the rest of the way including for the final 11 minutes allowing the Artesians to pull off the late winner and take an 8-7 win. The Alaska native who plays outdoor at Centralia College and is the sister of the Seattle Sounders’ Obed Vargas will likely step back into the starting role the rest of the way for Oly Town with a defensive POTW award on her resume.
